    • Brian Gabriel - Industrial Analyst, Industrial Assessments, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Policy

Mr. Brian Gabriel serves as an Industrial Analyst within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Policy.  His focus areas include rare earth elements and the space industrial base.  Prior to his current role, Mr. Gabriel was Chief of Planning for the strategic materials stockpile program at the Defense Logistics Agency.  Mr. Gabriel started his career as a Material Engineer at the Army Research Laboratory in Aberdeen, MD.  His research focused on advanced materials processing technologies including Cold Spray.   Mr. Gabriel has a B.S. and M.S. in Material Science and Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in Applied Economics with an accompanying Graduate Certificate in Investments from the Johns Hopkins University.  He has co-authored several technical papers and is a co-inventor on one U.S. patent.
